A warehouse cafe, coffee roastery and one of Fitzroy’s most iconic coffee spots
I recently checked out Industry Beans Fitzroy, the OG home of the Industry Beans crew, tucked into the backstreets of Fitzroy inside a huge warehouse style space.
Sitting on the corner of Westgarth Street, there’s step-free entry on the Fitzroy Street side.
Inside, the space is bright, white and full of greenery hanging from the ceiling. There’s a mix of seating options throughout the venue including standard tables + chairs with bench seating on one side and booths on the other side. The space itself is mostly open and easy to move through. The far side does narrow a little, but there are wider pathways if you need more space.
There’s an accessible toilet down the back which is spacious and easy to get to. It includes grab rails, a backrest and a baby change table.
Worth knowing before you go: Fitzroy parking is still very much Fitzroy parking. I didn’t find an accessible parking spot nearby and ended up using regular time-limited street parking instead.
And the coffee? Elite! Because Melbourne coffee culture takes itself very seriously
