Bellboy Cafe. Brunswick East

131 Nicholson Street,

Brunswick East VIC 3057

Coffee, brunch + bagels

Weekdays: 7am-3:30pm

Saturday: 7am-4pm

Sunday: 8am-4pm

I visited @bellboycafeau in East Brunswick Village and was pleasantly surprised by how flat, open, and genuinely easy it is to get around. There’s Coles, a brewery, a bakery and even a cinema in the village, so it’s definitely one of those places you can turn into a whole outing.

A step-free entrance with a slight ramp leads into the cafe on Village Avenue. You may need someone to assist with the main door.

Inside, the space is light and relaxed, with bench seating along one wall, fixed booth seating along the window (which I typically avoid), and standard height tables with moveable chairs across the main dining floor - with room to position a mobility aid or pram. There’s also a spacious outdoor terrace that’s flat and easy to access, airy, and a great option when the sun is out!

An accessible and ambulant toilet is available within the complex. Follow the signs at the back of the cafe and down the corridor.

Free 90-minute parking is available in the carpark directly beneath Coles. There is also one accessible parking spot at street level opposite Coles.

Bellboy nails the coffee, brunch food, and the access. I also spotted a few other spots in the village I’m keen to try next time.
