Ventured northside for something different and landed at @lobbscafe on Sydney Road. And wow, this one impressed! Now I love my coffee, and this was spot on. Add to that some of the best brunch food I’ve had in a long time, and I knew I’d found a winner ☕️

Getting in was a breeze thanks to the wide, gradual ramp entrance. It’s lined with greenery and leads you straight into the cafe.

Inside, the space opens up beautifully. It’s light-filled with white brick walls, high industrial ceilings, timber flooring, and pops of green. Although it was busy when I arrived, there was no wait for a table and I didn’t feel cramped. Seating includes plush booths, timber benches with built in cushions, and standard chairs with backrests. There’s also a small front patio with extra tables. It’s a little narrow, so harder to navigate with mobility aids or scooters, but the indoor layout offers plenty of space to move around comfortably.

The accessible toilet is located at the back and is a great size with all the right rails and a baby change table included.

Parking on Sydney Road can be a challenge. However, there are a couple of options nearby. A small carpark across the road on Stewart Street (behind the IGA) offers several spots, including one accessible bay. It’s also a short walk to Staley Street, which has another accessible parking space.

The vibe? Effortless cool. The food? Next level. And the access? Done right. Lobbs nails that distinctly Melbourne feel, industrial edge meets cosy comfort. I’ll absolutely be back!
