Classic neighbourhood pub with courtyard

Open 7 days 12pm - late

You know what they say - don’t judge a book by its cover. From the outside, @postofficeclubhotel looks like your typical old school pub. But step inside, and it’s a refreshed classic with all the charm you want from a local!

Located on the corner of St Kilda Road and Inkerman Street there are a couple of entrances, make sure to choose the step-free option on St Kilda Road which has just a slight incline.

The front bar leans traditional, with high tables and bar stools, but a sweet touch is the clever little bag hooks under the tables - love that attention to detail. There are a few standard height tables on the right hand side too, making it a versatile space for different needs. Head towards the back and you’ll find the main dining area, with standard tables along the left wall and cosy booths on the right. It’s warm, inviting, and spaced well enough to navigate with a mobility aid. It has that classic pub feel without feeling cramped.

The courtyard is a real highlight! Fully step-free, open, and lush with vines climbing the old building, fairy lights, and umbrellas. There’s plenty of seating, and it’s dog friendly too. Definitely one of the best pub courtyards I’ve come across in a while.

There’s also a private dining room just off the front bar that’s perfect for groups. You’ll find the accessible toilet in this area too. Navigate past the large table and you’re there - it’s spacious and has all the right features.

For parking, there’s one accessible spot just across the lights on St Kilda Road, plus a small car park around the back.

Whether you’re after a chilled drink or a traditional pub meal, the @postofficeclubhotel has history, heart, and proper access
